Capacitive Proximity Sensor LJ12A3-4-Z-BX NPN
Inductive Capacitive Proximity Sensor LJ12A3-4-Z-BX NPN, are a great way to accurately detect when a metal object is at a certain distance. Since it is a non-contact sensor, it is ideally suited to situations where there may be dust, dirt or liquid. This particular sensor is triggered when the tip of the sensor is 4mm away and has an LED feature that illuminates the sensor even when it is tripped. This sensor is easy to mount – it has a long threaded body that allows for adequate adjustment.
The sensor operates at 6 – 36VDC and will output the same voltage to the output wire. Due to the high voltage, to work with raspberry pie or Arduino, the output has to shift the logic level to a lower voltage. To wire up this sensor: brown = dc in: (6-36V DC), blue-ground, black-output signal.
