MVSC-220-4E2 Mindman Alloy Pneumatic Solenoid Valve. It is a 5 ported 4 way directional control valve used to move cylinders or actuators. Supply pressure should be supplied to the center port next to the valve with 3 ports. The reverse outlet ports are attached to each side of a cylinder or actuator.

This causes the cylinder to move (or expand). Mufflers can be attached to the exhaust ports to cool the air exhaust. Adjustable exhaust constraints can be used on the exhaust ports to control the speed of the cylinder. If flow controls are used, they should always be placed in line between the cylinder and the outlet port and control the air flow from the cylinder.
